This past year 2020 really changed a lot. Also, in the OPTIMUM project we had to learn to cope with restrictions to different extents and suddenly, priorities could be seen more clearly. Personal health and the health of our loved ones was put very much into focus. Also, we had to adapt to different ways of working. Remote work became more and more important while at the same time caring for small children and pupils due to closed kindergardens and schools.
Within the OPTIMUM Consortium we tried to make the best out of the situation. We had incidences of Partners getting infected with Covid-19, but very luckily, all recovered well.
There is a lot to be grateful for and so we “closed” the past year with a very much fun online “Year-End-Party” on 10th of December.
Özer Aydemir, one of our Turkish Project Partners said: “Before Covid-19: Work hard, play hard. During Covid-19: Work hard, play with you own kids only. Past Covid-19 (hopefully): Play hard again. This online party was an oasis in the desert of the pandemic.”
