On 5 March 2020, the 28th Crane Conference took place in Magdeburg, Germany, where experts from research and industry meet to inform about trends and new scientific findings in the fields of crane development and operation.
Klaus Hanisch from TARAKOS, one of the consortium partners of the research project OPTIMUM and Giuliano Persico from DEMAG presented results and 'work in progress' from OPTIMUM with focus on 3D visualization and simulation using the software TaraVR builder developed by TARAKOS. This software is also used, for example, to illustrate and simulate the demo assembly process in the DEMAG Research Factory and to create a digital twin of it.
