On 10th of October 2017 the official Kick-Off for the German project partners of the ITEA 3 project 'OPTIMUM' (OPTimised Industrial IoT and Distributed Control Platform) took place at ifak in Magdeburg. Partners of the German consortium were ifak e. V., Terex MHPS GmbH, Bosch Rexroth AG, Comnovo GmbH, NXP Semiconductors Germany GmbH, tarakos GmbH, Thorsis Technologies GmbH and the University of Rostock.
In Germany the project is funded by the Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). In the meeting of the German consortium, organizational matters were discussed together with the project management authority DLR, represented by Mr. von Schmidt and Ms. Jacobi. Furthermore, the form of cooperation was discussed, and the first principles of a consortium agreement were outlined, which also takes into consideration the interests of the partners from the other consortia in this international project.
