The paper 'Communication solutions for the integration of distributed control systems in logistics systems' briefly summarizes a novel decentralized control and communication system that can be used for among other things, various material flow systems. It is an open platform based on cooperation with modular industrial devices. A data exchange of the proposed system to the Industrial Internet of Things, which has relatively relaxed real-time requirements, is also supported.
The VDI congress AUTOMATION is not only celebrating its 30th anniversary this year but is also presenting its congress purely in digital format due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, this does not hinder interesting and multi-fold exchange of information about industry, research and science, all related to measurement and automation technology.
