In the last 1.5 years we had to renounce most of the presence workshops within our consortium. We were therefore very pleased to welcome part of the consortium back to our Demag Research Factory from 18 - 19 August. In compliance with all protective measures, the German consortium partners IFAK (Magdeburg), University of Rostock, NXP (Hamburg), TARAKOS (Magdeburg), THORSIS (Magdeburg), as well as our mentor at ITEA, Dr. Maria Rimini-Doering (Stuttgart), visited the German demonstrator at DEMAG. Unfortunately, the partners from other countries could not be there as planned due to Corona-related exit and entry regulations.

Of course, the meeting took place in strict compliance with the current Corona protection regulation and adherence to the current rules. All participants were vaccinated, recovered or had a negative test result.

Our agenda was filled with many interesting contents around the future utilisation and further development of results from OPTIMUM. First of all, DEMAG presented the German demonstrator with all its implemented assistance functions, which provided an opportunity for extensive exchange. Afterwards, there were many discussions regarding the further cooperation of the consortium partners concerned, especially with regard to the refinement of the app control and the graphical user interfaces that are used to control the innovative assistance functions from OPTIMUM. Furthermore, brainstorming and exchange about possible productifications of prototypical implementations from OPTIMUM took place in a large group. Measurements were also carried out in the DEMAG Research Factory with the background of being able to implement the localisation of the workers in the factory even more precisely and robustly - and thus even more securely - than is already the case.

We thank our committed project partners for this workshop even after the official end of the OPTIMUM project and look forward to further successful and inspiring cooperation in the future.
