On 22nd and 23rd October 2018, the majority parts of the Project Coordination Committee (PCC) met at Carlos III University in Madrid (UC3M).

One major focus of the meeting was the strengthening of the Spanish consortium through addition of two new partners, Cache & Godoy. Cache & Godoy presented their companies, explained their motivations for participating in the project and answered the questions of the project partners.

Following the presentation, a secret voting was held, in which each of the already existing partner companies had one vote. The majority was in favour of Cache's & Godoy's participation in the project. Unfortunately, however, the two new partners did not receive approval for funding, so they left the project again in 2019.

Further topics of the PCC meeting in Madrid were

  • Presentation by Demag regarding the activities required for the ITEA Review (1) in March 2019
  • Discussion of the communication architecture, driven by Thorsis, Ifak and Erste
  • Kick-off of Task 6.1 - Integration of components - under the direction of Ifak
  • Status of the different demonstrators, presented by Demag, Ermetal, Magtel and Etri
  • Presentation of the dissemination plan by Etri

In addition to the professional activities, the consortium enjoyed the evening flair of Madrid, the delicious food and wine and the opportunity to further develop personal relationships.
